DVTk RIS Emulator by DVTk is a Windows-based test tool that simulates a Radiology Information System (RIS) so you can validate imaging workflows without relying on a production environment. It helps developers, integrators, and healthcare IT teams generate and exchange HL7 v2.x messages (such as ADT and ORM) over MLLP, create and manage patients, orders, and schedules, and troubleshoot integrations with detailed logs and message tracing. With configurable message templates and repeatable scenarios, it supports regression testing, edge-case reproduction, and specification conformance checks. The RIS Emulator can be used alongside other DVTk utilities—such as Modality Worklist, MPPS, and Storage tools—to assemble an end-to-end test environment for modalities and PACS.
